Manager - SOX Compliance and Controls

Modivcare is looking for a Manager -- SOX Compliance and Controls who will be responsible for performing reviews of processes, procedures, risks and controls impacting financial reporting in order to evaluate best practices, efficiency opportunities and compliance with requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

You will...

* Work closely with the business to understand and document key financial controls in accordance with SOX, identify changes to those controls, identify control weaknesses, recommend solutions and coordinate with Internal and External Audit to test controls.
* Drive continuous transformation and improvement of the company's control environment.
* Coordinate activities performed to ensure the company's primary risk and compliance objectives are met.

* Collaborate with control cycle owners in the maintenance and preparation of detailed and accurate documentation including narratives, control descriptions and risk & control matrices.

* Provide training as needed to control owners on IT general control requirements, processes, and procedures.
* Assess company IT general controls (system access and security, logical access, change management, etc.)

* Evaluate IT systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks.
* Lead efforts in developing controls infrastructure for new acquisitions, technology applications, business process change and critical new GAAP initiatives.
* Partner with Integrations Management Office on company integrations.
* Partner with the business to learn business processes and identify risks and opportunities for process improvement.
* Evaluate business processes to identify risks and gaps and develop risk mitigation strategies.

* Work closely with the business to rapidly document and ensure that business units and corporate departments are timely in addressing control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.

* Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and annual audits, including establishing timelines, assisting in the resolution of audit issues, providing information to the auditors as necessary, and distribute information from the auditors to the rest of the Company.

* Provide guidance with the development and implementation of program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and COSO guidelines.
* Ensure that business units and corporate departments are timely in addressing control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.
* Lead or support projects and perform other duties as assigned.
* Be required to travel occasionally for business.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Determine appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.
* Define annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.
* Manage and mentor employees on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
* Manage and coach employees on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.
* Recognize others' contributions and share credit for success.
* Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.
* Prepare and manage budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance

We are excited to speak to someone with the following...

* Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
*

Seven (7) plus years' experience in corporate audit, business process consulting, information technology, and/or public accounting.
*

Master of Accounting degree or MBA a plus.
*

CPA, CIA or CISA Certification a plus.
*

Experience with AuditBoard and ERP systems (e.g. Workday, Dynamics, GreatPlains, Blackline) a plus.
*

Three (3) plus years' of project management experience.
*

Three (3) plus years leadership responsibility.
*

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
*

Sound knowledge of information security (cybersecurity), operating systems (Windows, Linux), networks (firewalls), Workday (ERP) or similar ERP, databases (Oracle, SQL), systems development/implementation, IT control frameworks, general it controls, application controls, information security, COBIT, COSO and SOX 404 requirements relating to IT systems and processes.

Possesses strong leadership skills, including the ability to take charge, motivate others, interact with senior management, establish objectives and drive results.
*

Strong written and verbal communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
*

Understanding of internal control concepts and risk assessment practices

*

Fluent in English, both oral and written required.
*

Ability to resolve increasingly complex problems while following company procedures and adjust work schedule to accommodate unexpected changes.
*

Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced excel experience required.
* Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve complex problems.
*

Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
*

Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
*

Ability to engage, influence and work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
* Must be results oriented, customer focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary: $90,324 - $133,576 / annually

Bonus eligible based upon company and individual performance.
