Responsibilities
The Mammography Technologist I will work Regular Full-Time Days and will provide high quality test results in a prompt and accurate fashion.

The Mammography Technologist I participates in quality assurance of all equipment and processing according to ACR guidelines.
The Mammography Technologist I enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
The Mammography Technologist I maintains adequate level of inventory in all rooms within T2 Radiology clinic.
The Mammography Technologist I attends the necessary meetings to keep up with changes within the department.

Qualifications
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. Education/Qualifications:
Satisfactory completion of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA approved school.
Mammography Quality Standard Act regulations of completion of 40 hours of documented training specific to mammography within 6 months of hire.

Experience:
Clinical experience within Radiology preferred Mammography experience needed with certification preferred but not required

Licensure/Certificates:
New York State Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure or temporary permit ARRT R.T. required wihtin 6 month of hire ARRT (M) required within two years of hire BLS Certification within 6 months of hire

Skills:
Knowledge of anatomy with both the human body and breast imaging
Strong technical experience with both PACS and radiology information systems
Strong communication skills with all age groups

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients.
Moves supplies and equipment.
Considerable amount of standing and walking.
This job requires the employee to be in good physical condition.
Minimal exposure to radiation monitored with radiation badges.
Must be able identify and differentiate colors.
